 Welcome to the UNESCO World Heritage Pacific Islands Workshop 2009 in Maupiti's website

 
• Pacific region still is largely under-represtend on World heritage list. To remedy this, a World Heritage Pacific Program was set in 2003.
1) Ensure the signing of 1972 Convention de 1972 by all Pacific states
2) Enhance the Pacific region representation on World Heritage list
3) Strenghthen competences regarding the implementation of Convention terms.
